Prilozje Pond

The ponds are located in the village of Prilozje and are owned by the Metlika Fishing Association. They were completely renovated and arranged in 2011. Today, they host gatherings of anglers and other nature lovers, fishing competitions and social events, while many visitors simply spend time by the ponds, filled with water lilies, relaxing away from the fast pace of everyday life.

The pond is maintained by a caretaker who diligently looks after the surroundings, feeds the fish, sells fishing permits and ensures that fishing is carried out in accordance with the rules defined for Prilozje Pond.

Fishing is possible from May to September, with anglers mainly enjoying carp fishing. A fishing lodge by the pond is also open seasonally.
