WALK AROUND METLIKA SINCE 1998

The Metlika circular walking route begins at Pungart, which serves as the starting point for all hiking trails. The first organised walk around Metlika took place on 26 April 1998, organised by the Metlika Local Community in celebration of the town’s holiday, marking 29 April 1365, when Metlika was granted town rights.

Anyone eager to explore the historical and cultural landmarks of the old town squares and the surrounding area can join the walk. The route is not demanding and is suitable for all generations.
